At St George’s we see our partnership with parents as key. We believe in working closely together to get the best for your child’s education and learning.
Parents, carers and families are by far the most important influences in a child's life, and your support can play a vital role at all stages of education. To support this, we run regular Parent Workshops throughout the year to enable you to support your child at home.
We also hold Coffee Mornings for parents every Thursday morning, where local professionals such as School Nurse are present to help discuss issues that we can support you with.
We operate an open-door policy to encourage parents to come and discuss any issues – however, making an appointment in advance may avoid a potential wait.
To aid this partnership, we have created a Parent Partnership policy- this has been created in consultation with all parents, and is reviewed on an annual basis – details of the document will be available on this page in the future.
A weekly Newsletter is published every Friday afternoon, and brought home by all children. This is an important method of communication between school and home, and contains news, information and dates. An on-line copy of the newsletter can be found in the ‘What’s On’ section of this website.
Separate letters are also sent home periodically with the children regarding Parent’s Evenings, trips, Special Events, etc. Extra copies of letters and the weekly Newsletter are available from the School Office on request.
Our Parent Partnership policy is available to view below. Policies such as our SEND and Pastoral Policies can be found in our Inclusion section. Other policies are available from the School Office on request.
