Meet The Governors



The Very Reverend Matt Thompson

The Very Reverend Matt Thompson is the Dean of Birmingham. He has extensive experience as a school governor in a variety of schools, primary and secondary; church and community; maintained, voluntary aided, academy trusts and the independent sector.

Timothy Bond

Timothy is a practicing primary school class teacher and senior leader in Birmingham with a wide variety of experience working in inner city schools and shire schools with a focus on music education, English and school leadership. He is also a regional CPD and Training Manager for an internationally award winning curriculum for Music Education.

Tim has been part of assessment and test design on national levels of the English Curriculum at both KS1 and KS2. Tim’s musical background is as a choral singer, specialising in Church Music.

Tim studied for a BA (Hons) in Primary Education in Music (Voice and Piano) and Post Graduate Certificate in Secondary Music Education. Tim is a Diocesan Appointed Governor and has been both a Staff Governor and Community Governor at schools in Staffordshire.  Tim has always done some form of community work, including Independent Panel for Police Custody Visiting and School Governorship.
